I have the 1911L Rhodium demonstrator that looks just like this one. I don't think the jump in price is ever going to be worth it for me to go to KOP because for 4 times the price, you are certainly not getting four times the pen. It's the same quandary I suppose in moving from a Custom 823 to an Urushi or a Pelikan 600 to the 800 or 1000...it's diminishing returns. I just would never get past all the stuff I could get (inks and papers for instance) for the same price as this other pen that's a little wider with a slightly bigger nib. In the end these are status symbols only.

I’ve only owned Sailor pens, though I keep hearing about Pilot pens. I wonder if I’d like a Pilot. Do you own a Sailor or two? Have you thought about comparing Sailor and Pilot?

I'm watching your video and agree with everybody else. You don't NEED any fountain pens. Needing and collecting are two different things. I agree with you about the TWISBI Swipe. I love the TWISBI Echo so I thought I would try the Swipe. The darn thing kept rolling off the table because of that accursed clip (or lack thereof). However, I am getting it out today and try again.

Should have done all this on the table. She could have dropped any of those important parts from the pen. The difference between men doing the review and women doing it. Tension watching her doing all this above a sink. Not very smart

I don't understand the choice of "ten" pens, at all. Why not choose 12 a sacred number, or 13 a prime number, or whatever holy number according to your religion or philosophy. Where is the magic in this number 10. And 20, most of us, human beings, have got 20 fingers, haven't we ? Traditionally there were 12 pennies in a shilling and 20 shillings made a pound, wasn't that kind of magical ? Let's leave the dull decimal system and go back to the magic. ...And it'll allow you to keep more pens 😆

Inconsistency is spot on. Because there are no stores or pen shows near, every purchase is online. And every purchase is like playing Russian Roulette.

I own the Lochby pen case, and it is terrific. I use it every day. And I also bought the Kaweco ART in Hickory - but I haven't had a chance to use it yet, so I would love to know your thoughts on the Kaweco ART. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I just bought the Creative Block. It's great. I am a longtime user (early 90s) of Clairefontaine notebooks and stationery. I just bought a Rhodia pad for the first time. I like it too. I have some Tomoe River loose leaf and notebooks - great!

Is it possible to impart the information without all the childish nonsense, silly voices, pointing and grimacing ? Thank you.

For your throat i recommend hot totties, which are rum and honey. It is an old remedy that really works.
